AMELIA DE MEMBROS TORÁCICOS EM POTRO ÁRABE: RELATO DE CASO

Amelia é uma alteração congênita em que um ou mais membros anteriores estão ausentes, em parte ou totalmente. O presente relato de caso descreve a ocorrência de um caso de amelia bilateral dos membros torácicos de uma potranca, da raça Árabe, oriunda de uma gestação, cujos pais, possuíam grau de consangüinidade de 25%. O diagnóstico foi realizado através da inspeção, exame físico e radiológico, onde foi observada ausência dos ossos distais ao úmero no membro torácico direito e no membro torácico esquerdo havia um pequeno fragmento da diáfise e epífise do rádio e ulna.
