Abstract

The sensitivity of the Bailenger and Yanko modified techniques were compared for eggs, cysts and oocysts research in water samples. Both methods were efficient to recover immature forms of parasites, although the Yanko method showed more positive cases (62.5%) compared Bailenger (46.8%).
