Abstract

Canine familial dermatomyositis-simile is characterized by involvement of the skin, striated muscles and blood vessels, with no involvement genetic. This report describes the clinical and histopathological diagnosis, and evaluates the effectiveness of treatment with pentoxifylline and prednisone in a dog affected by this disease.
