DISCLOSURE OF ANIMAL ANATOMY TO PRODUCERS AND FIELD WORKERS IN TWO MUNICIPALITIES OF RIO DE JANEIRO STATE

Abstract

Through the exchange of information being the technical expert and farmer, you can get excellent results with respect to the increase of knowledge and performance of farmers within the activity in which it appears. The aim was to promote the extension as a regional development strategy. During the fieldwork, 39 properties were treated, with 30 in Seropédica and nine in Paracambi, Municipalities of the State of Rio de Janeiro. All properties analyzed in this study had poor conditions of animal shelter where there were horses and cattle, directly influencing the health of these animals, because as a whole suffered from some kind of disorder and imbalance foot aplomb. Extension projects promoted by extension agents and institutions funded with minimal resources for the field activity can transform the reality and serve as a model for other regions.
