Abstract

The emphysematous cystitis is an intraluminal accumulation of gas in the urinary vesicle, resulting from the fermentation of substrates present in the urine by microorganisms such as bacteria and fungi. Such a condition is relatively rare and more common in patients who have abnormal urine glucose excretion, such as in diabetic patients. The present study reports a case of CE in a non-diabetic patient.
