Pulmonic stenosis and tricuspid dysplasia: case report on a blue heeler dog

Pulmonic stenosis (PS) is a relatively common congenital heart defect in dogs and may be
present alone or in association with other congenital heart defects such as tricuspid dysplasia
(TD). Both conditions can potentially lead right heart failure. This paper aims to describe a
case of a 10-month old blue heeler dog which was presented with a history of decreased
appetite, increased abdominal volume and dyspnea. After the first medical aid, the animal was
sent to echocardiogram, which was compatible with pulmonic stenosis and tricuspid
dysplasia.
