The Spirocerca lupi is a nematode of worldwide distribution, found in the esophagus of dogs leading to clinical signs of dysphagia, weight loss and regurgitation. The purpose of this report is to describe the parasitological and endoscopic diagnosis, and evaluate the effectiveness of treatment with milbemycin oxime in a dog with Spirocerca lupi.
