Abstract

The trematodes Eurytrema coelomaticum causes pancreatitis and reduces the productivity in cattle. The objective of this study was to determine the prevalence of bovine eurytrematosis in bovines of the southwestern region of Paraná. Fecal samples from 156 cattle were processed by using the sedimentation technique. Seven animals (4.5%) were positive for Ecoelomaticum in the coprology test aforementioned. Parasites were found in the pancreas of two animals which, for showing concomitant complications, died, indicating that parasitosis causes debility in the animals.
