Gastrointestinal parasites are present in practically all sheep herds and this is the main responsible for the high economic losses related to weight reduction, decrease in productive and reproductive performance, low immunity and even death of the animals. With that in mind, the objective of conducting this work was to develop an image bank with color patterns of the pigmentation of the ocular mucous membranes of sheep at the Laranja Doce Farm School at the Centro Universitário da Grande Dourados - UNIGRAN, and then compare it to the values of the number of eggs per gram of feces (OPG) of the animals in which the images were captured, allowing in the future the development of a device that can speed up the identification of animals that present parasitosis, as well as the research of its market acceptance. For the research on the validation of the technique, 26 sheep (male and female) of the Santa-Inês breed with an average age of approximately 2 years, from the Fazenda Escola Laranja Doce - UNIGRAN, were used to capture photographic images of the ocular mucosa and collect of feces directly from the rectal ampulla for verification of parasitosis by means of OPG. As for market research, questionnaires were applied to producers and workers in the area of sheep farming in municipality of Dourados-MS, in a digital way (Google Form). The results obtained were analyzed according to a descriptive analysis and Pearson's correlation with the aid of the computational package R (version 3.1.0 for Windows). Infers a recommendation for the development of new technical information tools and mobile applications aimed at raising sheep, as applications and digital tools have been gradually conquering space and proving to be highly effective in the task of disseminating information and technical knowledge generated by researchers and taken to the field, which could be verified in the analyzed questionnaires.
