Abstract

This study was performed in a period of two years in a commercial swine livestock at Ibiúna city, São Paulo State. The objectives were to evaluate and compare the reproductive and nursery results obtained with homeopathic treatment or with allopathic treatment. Initially, were evaluated zootecnic indexes during the period of one year of allopathic treatment, including vaccination against parvovirus. After, the same indexes were evaluated using homeopathy, keeping parvovirus vaccination. It was verified a statistical difference with better indexes of estrus repetition, number of piglets born, stillborn, mummified fetuses (p<0.05) and piglets mortality (p<0.01) in animals receiving homeopathic treatment. There was no statistical difference to death of boars and sows and abortions.
