Abstract

The present study had the aim to test chemiluminescent assay on intact parathormone (PTH) determination in dogs. A study group of 60 healthy adult dogs, with no sex or breed distinction, was formed in order to stablish a pattern of normality of chemiluminescence. Of these, 66,7% presented values of PTH below the limit of detection of the method, which demonstrates that this assay may not be efficient for the determination of intact PTH in dogs.
